Moving Events in iPhoto

iPhoto arranges Events based on the order they were imported. And while that’s very handy when wanting to find something, sometimes you want to move some photos from one Event into another that’s separated widely apart. There may be other times when you want simply want to work on two different Events and need to go back and forth. Here’s you can rearrange the Events to suit you.

Select Events

Click on Events in the Source List, then select the Event you want to move. Note you can select and move several Events at a time if you wish, simply Command-click one or more.

Click and Drag

I’ve selected three Events here and after clicking on them and dragging, the other Events move out of their way. You can drag them anywhere in the viewing area. Once positioned, let go of the mouse and that’s all there is to it.
